The KitchenAid® gourmet pastry blender is a kitchen essential that ensures proper blending for your ingredients with better baking results. Curved, tempered 420 stainless steel wires quickly cut chilled pieces of butter or margarine into the flour and other dry ingredients, which is the key to a light, flaky texture. It allows the butter to break up, and with repeated motion, breaks it down into smaller pieces as it mixes through the dough.
